Samsung May Announce OLED Panel with 1,400 Nits Brightness

Samsung is preparing to launch its new OLED panel technology, which offers 1,400 nits of brightness, with the DisplayHDR True Black 1400 certification.

The Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) has officially introduced the new DisplayHDR True Black 1400 certification tier for high-performance displays. According to branch sources, Samsung Display has accelerated its work on new generation desktop OLED panels that meet these stringent standards.

This technology, which is expected to be exhibited at the Bilibili World 2026 event to be held in Shanghai in July 2026, aims to offer a revolutionary level of brightness, especially for professional content creators and gamers. This new OLED panel technology from Samsung seems to take the competition in the display market to the next level with both high peak brightness values ​​and deep black performance.
