The Samsung Googlebook Geekbench results, which appeared in the Geekbench 7.1.0 database, offer valuable clues about the device’s hardware capabilities. The tested model is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite processor.
According to benchmark data, the device is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite processor, codenamed “Hamoa”. This processor features a 4nm architecture with 12 Orion cores and an Adreno X1-85 graphics unit.
The clock speeds in the test results indicate that the device houses the X1E-80-100 chip, also used in Dell and HP models. Samsung’s choice of the X Elite instead of the newer X2 series for this model is a noteworthy detail.
The device’s memory capacity has been confirmed by Geekbench records. The Samsung XE940XSA model comes with 16GB of RAM, a standard that parallels other existing Googlebook models.
While there is no official information about storage space yet, it is known that other Googlebook devices on the market offer 512GB of storage. This suggests that Samsung may also offer a similar configuration.
The laptop runs Android 17. This platform promises a different experience than classic Chromebook models.
Samsung is expected to offer its own One UI customizations in addition to the standard Googlebook interface on this device. However, no concrete visuals or information about what this interface will look like have been shared yet.
Googlebook Ecosystem and Samsung
The Googlebook platform is already expanding with models from manufacturers such as Acer, Asus, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Samsung’s addition to this list can be considered a development that will increase competition in the Android-based laptop market.
When examining the choices of other manufacturers in the market, it is seen that Dell and HP models come with X Elite processors. In contrast, Acer, Asus, and Lenovo models use Intel Core Ultra 5 processors. Samsung’s past laptop initiatives also give an idea about the positioning of this new model. The company launched the Windows 11-based Galaxy Book 4 Edge model with X Elite processors in 2024.
More recently, it switched to Snapdragon X2 Elite processor technology with the Galaxy Book 6 Edge model. This new Googlebook model could be part of Samsung’s strategy to strengthen its presence across different operating system platforms.
