Samsung Galaxy S27 series comes in four models. Galaxy S27 Pro, leaked in the GSMA database, stands out with its 200 MP camera and privacy screen
While the technology world’s eyes and ears are turned to the new generation smartphones, very exciting news continues to come from Samsung.
It is confirmed by GSMA IMEI database records that the South Korean technology giant will launch the Galaxy S27 series, which has been the subject of leaks for a long time, with four different models.
In addition to the standard, Plus and Ultra versions of the series, a brand new model named “Galaxy S27 Pro” joins the family this year. This development shows that Samsung has made such a big change in its flagship strategy for the first time in years and has strengthened its hand against its competitors.
What Do GSMA Database Leaks Say?
New listings appearing in the GSMA database, which keeps international identity records of mobile devices, revealing all the details of Samsung’s launch in early 2027.
In the records, the code number SM-S952U represents the standard S27 model, SM-S956U represents the Plus model, SM-S957B/DS represents the new generation Pro model, and SM-S958U represents the Ultra version, which is the top model.
These official listings confirm that the development process of the devices is progressing smoothly and is being prepared for the Galaxy Unpacked event to be held in the first quarter of 2027.
It is also expected that a budget-friendly Galaxy S27 FE model will be introduced towards the end of the year.
Although Samsung has used different names such as Galaxy Note Pro, XCover 6 Pro or J7 Pro in the past years, a “Pro” tag is officially added to the main Galaxy S series for the first time. This breakthrough is considered as the brand’s effort to create a competitive alternative to competing “Pro” models measuring 6.4 inches.
Galaxy S27 Pro Features and Expectations
The new Galaxy S27 Pro fully corresponds to the “compact but uncompromising” flagship description that users have been demanding for a long time.
This device plays a savior role for users who want to avoid the huge dimensions of the Ultra model but do not want to compromise on hardware.
Display and Design Innovations
On the front of the phone, there is a 6.47-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz variable refresh rate.
Unlike the Ultra model, the device does not have an S Pen support, thus saving battery in its internal system.
The biggest innovation on the screen side is that the hardware privacy screen technology, which we encountered only in the Galaxy S26 Ultra model last year, is also transferred to the Pro model.
Thanks to this feature, people looking at your phone from the side in public transportation or in crowded environments cannot see the screen content.
Camera and Performance Monster
On the camera side, Samsung turns the Pro model into a photo studio.
There is a 200 Megapixel main camera on the back of the device.
This powerful sensor is accompanied by a 50 Megapixel ultra wide-angle lens with autofocus support and a 50 Megapixel ALoP telephoto camera capable of 3.5x optical zoom.
It is claimed that this new generation telephoto camera can provide even sharper results than the Ultra model at the most preferred zoom levels in daily use.
On the front, there is a high-resolution 12 Megapixel selfie camera.
In the performance seat, the Galaxy S27 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, which Qualcomm has optimized specifically for the Galaxy series.
This powerful and power-efficient processor is supported by at least 12 GB LPDDR6 RAM and a 256 GB UFS 5.0 storage unit that completes artificial intelligence processes in seconds.
The 5000 mAh capacity battery that sustains all this high-end hardware reaches full charge in minutes with 45W wired and 25W Qi2 supported wireless fast charging standards.
