Samsung Galaxy A18 Design Revealed with Leaked Images

Samsung Galaxy A18 Design Revealed with Leaked Images

The design of the Samsung Galaxy A18 was revealed with leaked images. Here are the technical specifications, design details and expected processor options of the new model.

Samsung has accelerated its preparations for its new model, Samsung Galaxy A18, as part of its efforts to expand the entry-level Galaxy A series. New leaks shared by OnLeaks and based on CAD documents revealed the design language and physical details of the device for the first time.

The smartphone, which is expected to be released in the coming months, maintains a similar aesthetic approach compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A17, and is preparing to host important changes on the hardware side. This new model, which aims to strengthen Samsung’s competitive position in the budget-friendly smartphone market, will be offered to users with both 4G and 5G options.

  • Samsung Galaxy A18 comes with a flatter rear camera module design compared to its predecessor.
  • It has been confirmed through leaks that the device will have dimensions of 164.4 x 77.8 x 7.84mm.
  • It is predicted that a MediaTek processor will be used in the 4G version of the phone and a Snapdragon processor will be used in the 5G version.

Leaked design details show that the classic lines preferred by Samsung in the Galaxy A series are preserved. The most obvious element that draws attention in the images is that the triple camera setup on the back panel is designed in a more integrated structure with the body. This design choice increases the hand-holding comfort of the device and also gives it a more contemporary appearance.

Galaxy A18 Design Details Become Clear

The physical dimensions of the device have minimal changes compared to its predecessor. Dimensions of 164.4 x 77.8 x 7.84mm reveal that the phone is 0.1mm thinner than its predecessor, but 0.34mm thicker. On the front surface, the Infinity-U screen design and obvious screen frames await users.

Samsung completely abandons Exynos processors in the Galaxy A18 model and turns to MediaTek and Snapdragon chipsets.

Processor Preferences Show Big Change

On the technical side, it seems that Samsung has made a strategic decision. According to the latest reports, the Galaxy A18 will meet consumers with a structure that does not contain an Exynos processor unit. While the version that supports 4G contact technology is expected to be powered by a MediaTek processor, it is said that the Snapdragon chipset will be used in the 5G supported model. This move is considered as an effort to optimize the company’s performance expectations in different markets.

More technical details and official announcement information about the device are expected to be shared in the coming weeks. With this model, Samsung aims to defend its claim in the entry segment.
