Ubisoft officially announced the long-awaited Rayman Legends production at the PlayStation State of Play event. The game, which will be released under the name Rayman Legends Retold, will meet gamers on October 1, 2026.

This new production, built on the brand new game released in 2013, makes a fundamental change in its visual style. The developer group is abandoning the classic 2D hand-drawn aesthetics of the series and moving the characters to 3D models.

Renewed Visuals and New Gameplay Mechanics

The basic gameplay structure of the game continues to progress in the 2D plane as in the original version. But Ubisoft is expanding the experience by adding new levels of Star Fox like 3D dragon riding in this production.

On the voice side, David Gasman, who has been playing the character of Rayman for many years, is returning. While the voices of other characters also attract attention, the Scottish accent of the character Barbara in particular stands out.

Platform Details and Leaks

Although only the PS5 version was confirmed as part of the PlayStation State of Play, leaks also point to different platforms. Billbil-Kun, a well-known leaker in the industry, claims that the game will also come for Switch 2 and will be available for sale with a price tag of $40.

The same source states that access to the Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition version of the game will be provided during the pre-order process. This additional content, which has not yet been officially shown, has already become a matter of great curiosity among fans.

This new step in the Rayman series aims to bring together one of the most popular games of 2013 with contemporary technology. The game is expected to be one of the most attractive productions of 2026.
