Pushes the Button for WhatsApp Channel Managers

Pushes the Button for WhatsApp Channel Managers

WhatsApp has launched the special view count feature for channel administrators. Details about this new feature that allows measuring content performance are in our news.

WhatsApp has launched a new view count feature available exclusively to channel managers on both iOS and Android platforms. With this update, channel managers can see in direct message bubbles how many people have viewed the content they share.

This new feature, available only to administrators, makes it easier to instantly monitor content performance and optimize strategies based on follower interaction. This innovation, which WhatsApp has been working on for a long time, is currently being gradually rolled out for reasonable beta testers.

  • WhatsApp has enabled the custom view count feature in notification bubbles for channel managers to measure content performance.
  • This feature is currently only viewable by channel administrators and followers cannot see this information.
  • Users can analyze which posts attract more attention by using this data to determine content strategies.
  • The new feature is being gradually rolled out through the latest WhatsApp beta versions on Android and iOS platforms.

Viewing Counts Allow Strategic Analysis

This feature, offered for channel managers, replaces indirect metrics such as number of shares previously used to understand how successful posts are. Now managers can directly see which content attracts more attention from the audience.

Accessing direct view information helps content creators strengthen their connection with their audiences.

This information allows managers to organize content calendars and the type of information shared more efficiently according to the demands of the target audience. In this way, more focus can be placed on content that attracts the attention of the audience, rather than issues that attract little attention.

Private and Public View Counts Vary

The feature, which is currently live, offers a completely special structure for administrators. Followers do not encounter any random viewing data on their screens. However, it is known that WhatsApp is also working on a general viewing feature in the future. This second version, which is in development, will allow all followers to see how many views a post has received.

Overall view counts will publicly prove a post’s popularity.

Private viewing data is currently positioned as a hidden insight tool available only to administrators. In this way, managers can objectively evaluate the performance of their content without feeling any external pressure.

The Distribution Process is Progressing Gradually

WhatsApp follows a gradual distribution policy to bring this new feature to all its users. This innovation, which is currently only available to beta testers, will be rolled out to more accounts in the coming weeks. Users who do not have the feature are now encouraged to update their app to the most current version. WhatsApp has not yet shared an official date on when this feature will be fully available for general use.
