Oppo’s new ColorOS July 16 update brings smoother animations, new camera filters, and improved personalization features to smartphones.
Oppo has begun rolling out a comprehensive July update for its ColorOS 16 operating system to users worldwide. This new software package offers Oppo smartphone owners more customization options, improved camera filters, and valuable optimizations that enhance system performance.
Targeting popular models such as the Find X9 series and Reno 15 series, this update particularly improves system stability and the fluidity of transition animations, taking the user experience to a higher level. These ColorOS 16 innovations, gradually rolled out starting in July, enable devices to react much faster in daily use.

In addition, the preview support for contact posters used in incoming calls has been improved, making the process of personalizing call screens more practical for users.

Two New Filters Added to Camera App
Oppo’s native camera app has been updated with two new filters that will delight photography enthusiasts. The Primrose filter adds warmer and more vibrant tones to photos, while the Bold B&W filter offers a professional contrast level in black and white shots.
The fact that these filters are directly integrated into the system camera allows users to capture artistic shots without needing third-party applications.
System Performance and Security Optimized
Among the most notable technical improvements of the update is the optimization of animations used in switching between applications. 
In particular, the improvements made to the recent applications screen significantly increase the overall fluidity of the system. In addition, the addition of a backup face profile feature to the Face Unlock system provides fast biometric verification even when wearing makeup or glasses. Oppo stated that these performance-oriented updates have reached a wide range of devices, including the Find X9 Ultra, Find X9, Reno 15, and Reno 14.
Thanks to the secondary face profile support, biometric security now offers much more flexible use.
