No More Carrying a Powerbank: Honor Power 3 Comes with an Incredible Battery

No More Carrying a Powerbank: Honor Power 3 Comes with an Incredible Battery

Honor is pushing the limits with its new smartphone, the Honor Power 3 model. According to leaked information, the device will come with a huge battery with a capacity of 12,000 mAh.

Honor is working on a new model that pushes the limits. According to information from reliable leak sources, the company plans to achieve an unprecedented battery capacity in the portable world with the “Honor Power 3” model that will be included in the new generation smartphone series.

Details shared by well-known analysts in the industry indicate that the device will perform more like an independent power bank than a smartphone. The phone, which stands out with its advanced hardware architecture and new generation battery cell with high power density, aims to completely close the cycle of searching for a socket.

  • Record Battery Capacity:Honor Power 3, the new member of the series, is developed with a battery capacity between 11,000 mAh and 12,000 mAh, breaking all records among mainstream models in the smartphone world.

  • Advanced Processor Infrastructure:The device is powered by the powerful Dimensity 8600 chipset, which has not yet been officially announced by MediaTek and will be produced with a cutting-edge 3 nm manufacturing process.

  • Vivid and Clear Screen Experience:The front panel of the phone features a 6.8-inch flat LTPS OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, which offers smooth usage and promises high resolution.

Battery Revolution in the Smartphone Segment

As the hardware power, high refresh rate screens and advanced artificial intelligence features of mobile devices increase, their power consumption also increases at the same rate.

While many manufacturers are stuck in the 5,000 mAh to 6,000 mAh band in order to keep the devices thin, Honor continues to break these molds. Honor Power 2, the previous model of the series and showcased in the first months of the year, managed to make a big impact with its huge battery with a capacity of 10,080 mAh. However, the company’s engineers are not satisfied with this success and set the bar much higher.

Digital Chat Station, which has gained great credibility in the technology world with its leaks, shared the battery details of the device, whose early engineering prototypes were tested in the brand’s laboratories. According to the information received, the company’s new aim is to place a battery with a capacity of 11,000 or 12,000 mAh in the phone body.

A power tank of this size means an uninterrupted experience of up to 4 to 5 days on a single charge in a normal usage scenario. It is predicted that the device can survive for days even during heavy gaming sessions or heavy workloads such as video editing.

Silicon-Carbon Technology and Safety Limits

One of the first questions that comes to users’ minds is how thick and heavy such a large battery will make the phone. To overcome this problem, Honor uses third generation silicon-carbon battery technology instead of classical lithium-ion batteries. Silicon-carbon batteries offer a much higher power density than standard batteries.

In this way, battery cells can store much higher electrical power while physically occupying a smaller volume.

According to the security standards stated by industry analysts, current silicon-carbon technology currently provides safe usage area up to 12,000 mAh in smartphone sizes. Honor makes a technological show of its strength by making full use of this feature.

It is stated that the tests carried out in engineering prototypes started with 10,690 mAh nominal capacity and 40.41 Wh power consumption information, and in the latest consumer version, this number will be clearly labeled as 11,000 or 12,000 mAh with software and hardware optimizations.

Not Just a Battery but a Performance Monster: Power Show with Dimensity 8600

Honor Power 3 goes beyond just being an ordinary device that offers long usage time, and also takes an assertive stance on the performance side. According to the leaked technical schematic, the phone is accompanied by MediaTek’s new generation upper-mid segment processor Dimensity 8600.

This chipset, which will be released from the band with the advanced 3 nm fabrication process, both increases pure performance power and provides a huge leap in power efficiency compared to the 4 nm processors used in the previous generation. This low power consumption advantage offered by the processor, combined with the huge battery, geometrically increases the standby and usage times of the device.

The same processor architecture is expected to be featured in challenging competitors such as Poco X9 Pro and Redmi Turbo 6 in the coming period. This proves that the device will please the user in every field, from gaming performance to daily multi-tasking.

In addition, the charging time of this giant battery remains on the table as a critical detail. It is rumored that the company aims to fully charge the huge cell within a reasonable period of time by including a fast charging protocol of at least 66W or higher in this model.

On the front surface of the phone, users are greeted with a fairly large screen area. According to leaks, the device comes with a LTPS OLED panel with a flat design of 6.8 inches. In line with today’s trends, the model avoids the curved screen structure and features a 2.5D curved glass surface coating that creates a premium feeling at the edges while maintaining the flat screen concept.

Thanks to the 1.5K resolution standard, the contents on the screen are presented with extremely sharp and vibrant colors with high pixel density.

When we look at the release schedule of the device, it seems that the brand has a heavy product launch map. The company is expected to first announce the flagship Magic 9 series, and then launch the performance-oriented Win 2 series to the market.

Considering this cycle, it is assumed that the battery monster Honor Power 3 model will be officially showcased at a special event to be held in the first quarter of next year, probably in January or February. It is already a matter of great curiosity as to what name this model, which will change the stability in the portable world, will come to the global market.
