New Emergency Aid Application from the Ministry of Internal Affairs

New Emergency Aid Application from the Ministry of Internal Affairs

The domestic emergency aid application developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs is being made available before the holiday. Here are the details of the system.

Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi made statements about a new emergency aid system that concerns millions in a television program he watched. The local and national application, which will run on mobile phones, is planned to be made available to citizens before the holiday.

The new system aims to enable citizens to reach relevant units within seconds in case of emergency. It is stated that the application, which can be used in situations such as traffic accidents, health problems, fire, disaster or attack, will work with a logic similar to KADES.

Minister Çiftçi stated that the application is currently in the testing phase and will be fully active in a short time. It is noted that the system was developed to enable the state to react faster, especially in times of crisis.

Local and national application similar to KADES

It was announced that the new emergency aid application was developed entirely in Türkiye and prepared by local engineers. It is reported that law enforcement forces and relevant teams will be activated with a single touch in the application that users will download to their phones.

Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi reminds that citizens request help via 112 in the current system. The Minister emphasized that this process will become shorter and faster with the new application.

Minister Çiftçi, who also shared data on traffic safety in the program, announced that there was a 16.7 percent decrease in fatal traffic accidents. He stated that despite the increase in inspections, the decrease in the number of vehicles processed shows that drivers comply with the rules more.

Stating that there has been a serious decline in tachograph violations, drifting and speed violations, Çiftçi noted that the traffic rule violation images shared on social media are also examined immediately.

Stating that the rapid increase in the number of motorcycles in Turkey brings with it new risks, Çiftçi announced that the number of motorcycles, which was 3.3 million in 2019, increased to 7.3 million by 2025.

Motorcycle accidents and stray animals

Stating that the rate of motorcycles in total traffic accidents has reached 50 percent, Çiftçi stated that the accidents involving motorcycle couriers have reached a remarkable level.

The Minister said that in addition to the fight against organized crime organizations and drugs, the issue of stray animals is also among the priority topics.

Stating that efforts are continuing to solve the problems related to stray animals, Çiftçi said that the process is aimed to be completed by October.

Do you think that this new emergency aid system developed with domestic software will be sufficient for emergencies encountered in daily life?
