Motorola’s eagerly awaited new foldable phone Motorola Razr Flex has begun to create excitement in the technology world with its features . This large foldable device, developed by the company under the codename Parker, is preparing to launch in the coming months.
Recent leaks have revealed both the technical details and the possible name of the device. Motorola’s new initiative aims to take the competition in the foldable phone market to a higher level.
Technical Specifications and Design
The device features a 6.92-inch OLED panel on the inside with a resolution of 2364×1728 and a 165Hz refresh rate. On the outside, there’s a second 4.97-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1140×1736.
At the heart of the phone is the high-performance Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This powerful processor is accompanied by 12GB of RAM, while storage is only available in a 256GB option.
In terms of design, a very thin structure is noticeable. When unfolded, the device measures 110 x 149 x 5.8 mm, while when folded, it shrinks to 110 x 76 x 12.6 mm.
A rather ambitious approach has been taken in the camera setup. On the back, there is a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens.
For selfies, there are two 32MP cameras placed on each screen. This allows users to take high-quality selfies in both closed and open modes.
The total weight of the device is stated as 215 grams. Color options include special shades such as Pantone Coriander and Pantone Dark Botanical Garden.
Durability and Software
Motorola has opted for a 5,000 mAh battery in its new model. This battery aims to meet users’ power needs with 25W wireless charging support.
On the security side, there is a fingerprint reader located on the side. This reader is integrated into the power button.
In terms of durability, the device has a very strong certification. The phone provides protection against dust and water with both IP48 and IP49 certifications.
On the software side, it is stated that it will come with the Android 17 operating system out of the box. This indicates that the device will offer a new software experience.
Motorola’s new foldable phone will be officially introduced in mid-December. With this model, the company aims to bring the foldable phone experience to a wider audience.
