Following the announcement of the Dimensity 9600 Pro flagship chipset, MediaTek has officially introduced the new Dimensity 9600M model, which will expand its product range. Announced this week, the chipset aims to bring the advanced software and AI features of the Pro model to a wider smartphone segment. Developed with TSMC’s 3nm N3P manufacturing process and being a hardware-optimized version of the Dimensity 9500 model, this processor stands out with its high-performance core architecture and updated AI engines. The first devices are expected to be released this quarter.

The C1-Ultra core, capable of reaching speeds of 4.21GHz, maintains the processor’s stability in high-performance tasks. The Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 graphics unit and APU 990 neural processing unit within the device successfully support current hardware standards. 16MB L3 cache and 10MB SLC capacity increase efficiency in information processing, while LPDDR5X 10667 memory support optimizes system speed.
AI Capabilities Take Center Stage
MediaTek places particular emphasis on AI-focused improvements in this model. The newly added Agentic AI Engine and Dimensity Scheduling Engine technologies enable the device to manage complex processes more intelligently.
