Apple is preparing to renew its entry-level MacBook Pro models in the first half of 2027. Here is the latest information about the new MacBook and iPad Pro.
Apple plans to make significant changes in its product range in the first half of next year. The company is expected to make a comprehensive design innovation, especially in the entry-level MacBook Pro models.
The new report shared by Mark Gurman reveals that Apple will update its 14-inch entry-level laptop in the first half of 2027. It is stated that this new model will have a design compatible with the upper segment computers expected to be announced in the fall.
Design and Hardware Updates
The new entry-level MacBook Pro design will reflect the visual language of Apple’s future computer series. Reports indicate that Apple’s first touch-screen MacBook model may also be introduced in this period. This technology, which was previously talked about for the M6 generation, could create an important breaking point in the company’s laptop strategy.
Besides laptops, Apple is also running tests on four new iPad Pro models. It is stated that the new tablets will maintain their current 11-inch and 13-inch sizes, but will come with performance-oriented improvements.
Spring Term Innovations
In recent years, Apple has preferred the spring months to announce its entry-level and budget-friendly products. The company, which attracted attention with MacBook Neo, new iPhone models and various iPad updates in the spring of 2026, aims for a similar intensity for the spring of 2027.

On the smartphone side, the standard model of the iPhone 18 and the iPhone Air update are among the expectations. There are also arguments that Apple may break the tradition of naming Pro and Max on the processor side and switch directly to M7 silicon.
