Artificial intelligence technologies have become so rapidly integrated into every aspect of our lives in recent years that we can sometimes have difficulty keeping up with these developments. While some see this as a great technological revolution, others think it is just a temporary fad or bubble.

In this week’s program, we had a sincere conversation with the experienced name of the industry, Murat Şahin, about the past, present and future of artificial intelligence. We discussed how artificial intelligence is not just about editing our photos, but also how it is deeply integrated into everything from the defense industry to our daily shopping.

Another important development that was at the center of our conversation was Nvidia’s new processor move. Nvidia is now preparing to go beyond being just a graphics card manufacturer and become a direct competitor to the processor market, that is, Intel and AMD. This new architecture that comes with the N1X processor seems to completely change the balance, especially in artificial intelligence-oriented systems.

Changing Balances and New Hardware in the World of Technology

While this great war continues on the hardware side, Apple and Microsoft’s moves on the software and ecosystem side are endless. While the momentum Apple has gained with its own processors has increased sales figures in the computer market, we also talked about the major cleaning operation expected for Windows 11 on Microsoft’s side. Cleaning up unnecessary components that have accumulated in the system for years is a very critical step in making the operating system more fluid and modern.

In the mobile world, the possibility of Open AI developing its own phone was another topic that excited technology enthusiasts. We questioned whether a device focused entirely on voice command and artificial intelligence could be a real alternative to the iPhone ecosystem, breaking away from the application-oriented classical phone logic. Of course, at this point we did not ignore the fact how difficult it is to change user habits. Remembering past failed attempts, we discussed what strategy Open AI should follow.

Innovations That Touch Our Daily Lives

The paid subscription model that WhatsApp plans to introduce and the extra features that this model will offer to users were also on our agenda. We speculated on whether this system, which started to be tested in Europe, is more aimed at normal users or businesses. We also shared frustrations about Tesla’s new hardware updates for autonomous driving and what these updates mean for owners of older vehicles.

At the end of the program, we realized once again that technology is not just about numbers and cards, it actually exists to make human life easier. We touched upon examples from real life, such as how artificial intelligence can guide us or optimize our shopping habits during special times such as Mother’s Day. This week, as every week, we tried to convey the technology agenda to you in the most sincere and understandable way.
