iPhone Ultra’s Arrival in Turkey May Be Delayed Until 2027

Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Ultra, is facing a stock shortage due to production problems. Here are the expected features and price of the device.

News from the production side of Apple’s eagerly awaited first foldable phone iPhone Ultra indicates that significant stock problems may occur during the device’s launch process. A supply chain manager speaking to Nikkei Asia stated that the phone’s production volume is currently quite limited.

Although efforts are being made to gradually increase the production process, as of the end of August, the daily production volume remains at only a few hundred units. This low production volume raises concerns that Apple may struggle to meet market demand.

Production Restrictions and Sales Strategy

Due to the production bottleneck, it is suggested that Apple may initially only release the device in the US market. It is claimed that the stock shortage could significantly increase black market prices.

For technology enthusiasts in Turkey, the process seems quite long. It is estimated that the device may not be available for sale in the Turkish market until 2027.

Apple aims to follow a different strategy in the foldable phone market with this new model. However, these limitations in production capacity seem to directly affect the device’s accessibility on a global scale.

Technical Specifications and Price Expectations

According to the latest information shared by TrendForce, the device will feature a 7.8-inch 120 Hz ProMotion OLED screen on the inside. A 5.5-inch OLED screen is expected on the outside.

On the hardware side, quite powerful components stand out. It is stated that the device will get its power from TSMC’s A20 Pro processor, which will be produced with a 2 nm production process, and 12 GB of RAM.

On the camera side, Apple opts against using a telephoto lens. Instead, it combines a 48-megapixel wide-angle and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera on the back.

On the front, there’s a 24-megapixel selfie camera. Additionally, it’s reported that the phone will be equipped with the Apple C2 modem and will feature a Touch ID fingerprint sensor for security.

The model, which is said to largely conceal the crease on the screen, is also priced quite high. The price abroad is expected to be between $2,099 and $2,299.

The price of the top-of-the-line 2TB version is predicted to exceed $3,000. Apple’s high pricing policy clearly positions the device in the premium segment.

It remains to be seen how this high price tag and limited stock will affect the device’s overall market acceptance. Do you think Apple’s first attempt at a foldable phone will attract enough consumer interest despite its high price?
