iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 Pro Max are here live

iPhone Fold and iPhone 18 Pro Max are here live

We examined the exact prototypes of Apple’s first foldable phone, iPhone Fold, and the highly anticipated iPhone 18 Pro Max, and explained all the details and design changes by comparing them with their Competitors!

The most curious devices of the technology world are finally on our table. In this video, we examine the exact prototypes of the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and iPhone Fold models, which Apple is working on and is expected to be introduced in the coming period.

Our table is quite crowded; To better understand the sizes and design changes of the new models, we compare them with their strong competitors such as iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7.

When we first look at the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models, we see that the camera design and sensor placements on the back are almost exactly the same as the iPhone 17 Pro. However, according to leaked information, we may be presented with a brand new color option that is a mixture of dark red and purple this year.

While the thickness of the devices remains the same as the previous generation at 8.75 mm, the real big change is on the screen side. According to almost certain information, Dynamic Island is visibly smaller in this generation and some sensors are moved under the screen. In terms of screen sizes, the Pro model will continue to offer 6.3 inches and the Pro Max model will continue to offer 6.9 inches.

The Expected Foldable Screen iPhone Fold is on the Stage

The most intriguing device in the video is undoubtedly the iPhone Fold prototype, which will be a first for Apple. This phone, whose name is not yet clear and is rumored to be called Ultra, has a foldable structure that opens sideways.

When we compare it with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, we see that the screen structure is designed in a much different size instead of being close to square. Offering a 7.8-inch screen experience in 16:9 format when opened, the device eliminates black spaces, which is the biggest problem of foldable phones in multimedia consumption, and provides a real tablet experience.

Design Details and Curious Hardware Features

When we examine the outer casing of the device, there is an action button and volume on/off buttons. When we look at the back, we notice that, unlike the triple camera array in the Pro models, only two cameras are positioned and there is no LiDAR sensor.

This situation makes us think that the iPhone Fold model, instead of having the power of a Pro, may come with a plain iPhone 18 processor in order to keep it more affordable and be marketed with a kind of iPhone Air logic. On the thickness side, the iPhone Fold, which is approximately 9.5 mm when closed, is slightly thicker than the 8.9 mm thick Z Fold 7, but it is quite thin compared to the old generation foldable phones.

Apple’s entry into the foldable phone market seems to stir up the industry even more after the moves of its competitors such as Huawei’s Pro XMax model with a similar design. We would like to thank Zore Aksesuar for sending us these exciting prototypes for review.
