The latest supply chain reports reveal that there will be a significant difference in battery capacity between the eSIM and physical SIM card versions of the iPhone 18 Pro Max model.
In particular, the eSIM-supported iPhone 18 Pro Max model is equipped with a huge battery with a capacity of 5,425mAh, while the standard version with a physical SIM card slot is more limited with a capacity of 5,235mAh. This strategic breakthrough reveals the aim of increasing the power capacity by using the advantages offered by eSIM technology in the internal design of the device.
The Difference Between Battery Capacities Becomes Obvious
According to information from the industry, Apple increased the battery capacity in the eSIM model by 6 percent to 5,425mAh.
Compared to the previous generation iPhone 17 Pro Max models, this is considered a significant step forward in power efficiency. The 5,235mAh battery offered for users using a physical SIM card represents a more modest increase.
By highlighting eSIM technology, Apple manages to make more space in the hardware area.
Innovations Are Being Made in Hardware and Design
The internal design of the iPhone 18 Pro series is not limited to just the battery capacity. The devices will have a huge steam chamber developed to minimize heating problems.
