Introducing Lenovo Legion Y70, the Gaming Phone with 8,000 mAh Battery

Lenovo announced its new gaming phone Legion Y70. Details of the device, which stands out with its 8,000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor and 144 Hz OLED screen, are in our news.

Technology giant Lenovo, which has remained silent in the smartphone market for a long time, is making a spectacular comeback to the portable world with its groundbreaking new gaming phone. The new Lenovo Legion Y70, which is the first smartphone released by the brand under its own name after its 2022 models, was officially introduced at a magnificent event held in China.

This new monster, which aims to melt all the needs of mobile gamers and high performance enthusiasts in a single pot, attracts attention with its revolutionary huge battery capacity and new generation hardware components, especially in the smartphone segment. Combining a stylish design line with high-level durability standards, the device fully deserves the title of flagship killer.

  • The Most Powerful Battery in the Industry:Lenovo Legion Y70 makes a difference in its segment with its 8,000 mAh capacity silicon-carbon battery and 90W fast charging support, which is rarely seen in smartphones.

  • Newest Generation Performance:The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, one of Qualcomm’s most current architectures, and has RAM options up to 16 GB.

  • Eye-Catching Game Screen:The 6.82-inch 2K resolution LTPO OLED panel used on the phone offers a full 144 Hz refresh rate and 7,000 nits peak brightness value.

The New Favorite of Mobile Gamers: Screen and Design Standards

Lenovo Legion Y70 comes with a Q10 OLED display panel signed by BOE on the front. This huge screen of 6.82 inches produces a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels (2K). The screen, which can dynamically adjust the refresh rate adaptively thanks to its LTPO technology, provides a smooth experience by reaching 144 Hz in portable games.

The most striking detail on the screen side of the device is the peak brightness level of 7,000 nits, which provides perfect visibility even in open areas.

This quality screen, with Dolby Vision support, is wrapped in a stylish body with an aluminum frame. Lenovo engineers integrate a huge 5,500 mm² vapor chamber cooling system into the phone to prevent the device from getting too hot during gaming.

This system manages to reduce the processor core temperature by up to 7 degrees Celsius even under heavy load. In addition, the phone resists drops from a height of 1.8 meters and provides the highest level of protection against water and dust with IP68 and IP69 certifications.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and Unique Power Management

Moving on to the performance side, Lenovo Legion Y70 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The 12 GB and 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM options accompanying this powerful processor reach data transfer rates of up to 9,600 Mbps.

In the storage section, there are 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB options with UFS 4.1 technology. On the software side of the phone, the Tianxi AI 4.0 interface based on Android 16 functions.

For users who do not want to compromise on camera performance, there is a 50 Megapixel Sony LYT-710 main camera with f / 1.8 aperture and OIS support.

The main camera is accompanied by an 8 Megapixel resolution ultra wide-angle macro lens and an auxiliary sensor. On the front, a 32 Megapixel camera is preferred for selfies.

The 8,000 mAh battery, which is the biggest trademark of the phone, includes “Bypass Charging” support; In other words, while playing games, the current is sent directly to the motherboard, preventing the battery from wearing out and the phone from heating up. The device, which is available for pre-order in China with a very competitive price tag, is expected to enter the global market in the near future.
