Taking the stage at the Computex technology fair held in Taiwan, semiconductor giant Intel officially announced its new technologies and strategic subsidiaries that will radically change the end-to-end artificial intelligence ecosystem. The company offers a wide range of innovative solutions, from information centers to edge computing and artificial intelligence-enhanced personal computers (AI PC). In the statements made, new generation infrastructures, new processor families and open source software platforms for robotic technologies that will accelerate corporate artificial intelligence workloads come to the fore. Rack-Scale Infrastructure for Enterprise Inference and Spy AI

As the training processes of artificial intelligence models mature, the focus in the field shifts to the real-time execution of the trained models, that is, the inference stage. At the Computex fair, Intel is exhibiting its new cabinet-scale artificial intelligence infrastructure, developed in partnership with SambaNova, to meet this need of corporate customers. This infrastructure brings together Intel Xeon processors and SambaNova SN-50 Configurable Data Flow Units (RDU).

Thanks to this integration, corporate companies can run large language models and autonomous artificial intelligence spies at much lower costs and with high power efficiency. Additionally, a new corporate inference cloud called “Vector Core Compute”, implemented by Vista Equity Partners and Cambium Capital, also draws attention at this event. The cloud analysis in question; It offers a flexible alternative to partitioning by combining Intel Xeon processors, SambaNova RDU units and NVIDIA Blackwell graphics processors in a disaggregated architecture.

Intel Xeon 6+ Processors Change the Standards in Data Centers

Intel announced the Intel Xeon 6+ processor family to increase process power density and optimize power consumption in information centers. These new generation processors, built on Intel 18A architecture, promise significant performance leaps, especially in cloud-based and artificial intelligence-focused workloads.

Designed for companies that want to save space and power in data centers, models with efficiency-oriented cores (E-core) can scale up to 288 cores. While this architecture offers up to 2.5 times higher performance compared to the previous generation processors, it also provides a 45 percent more advantageous performance in threads per watt against its competitors. To prevent bottlenecks in the information flow, the processors are accompanied by 12-channel DDR5 memory support and Intel Ethernet E835 network controllers with 200 GbE data transfer speed.

A New Era in Edge Computing and Robotics: Intel Core Ultra Series 3 and OpenVINO

Within the scope of the fair, not only data centers but also smart devices in factories, warehouses and retail areas were not forgotten. Intel introduced the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor family, which will stimulate the world of edge AI and robotics. It is stated that more than 130 global customers are currently working on device designs based on this new processor family.

Smart Robot Fleets with OpenVINO Physical AI

The biggest obstacles to robotic developments leaving the laboratory environment and becoming widespread in the real world in large fleets are known to be high costs and hardware incompatibilities. To solve this problem, Intel is deploying an open source robotics library called OpenVINO Physical AI. This software framework provides an inference engine optimized at the silicon level, allowing developers to easily reuse the code they write on different types of robots.

Physical AI Studio for Advanced Manufacturing

Another innovation announced to facilitate the production processes of robotic assays is Physical AI Studio. Through this studio, developer teams can export ready-made robotic systems to factories or logistics centers by carrying out data collection, model fine-tuning, optimization and quantization processes from a single center. Live demos at the fairground show that three different artificial intelligence spies (Avatar, Guardian and Ella Agent) on a single Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processor can manage real-time in-store operations without the need for any additional accelerators.

With these comprehensive announcements made at the Computex fair, Intel continues to reinforce its leadership in the artificial intelligence market by combining its power in hardware production with open source software ecosystems. Vertical partnerships with industrial giants such as Foxconn, Siemens and Hitachi also show that these technologies will be used effectively in production lines very soon.
