With the collaboration between Informatics Valley, DIGIAGE, and Just4Fun, domestic game studios are opening up to the Chinese market; global publishing opportunities are expanding.
DIGIAGE, the game ecosystem initiative of Informatics Valley, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Just4Fun to enable local game studios to enter China, one of the world’s largest game markets. Through this collaboration, the aim is to provide Turkish-developed game projects with direct access to publishing opportunities in the Chinese market, strengthen the transfer of knowledge and experience between the two countries, and open new revenue streams for local developers on a global scale.
Direct Access to the Chinese Market for Turkish Game Developers
In the rapidly growing global gaming sector, Turkey stands out with its talented developer pool and successful studios. However, independently entering markets like China, which has significantly different regulations, local dynamics, and user habits, presents significant challenges for studios. This partnership between DIGIAGE and Just4Fun serves as a concrete bridge to overcome the aforementioned obstacles.
Under the agreement, promising local game projects will be priced according to the dynamics of the Chinese market; A direct communication network will be established between developer studios and publishers in the region. Rıdvan Durgut, the founder of Kumbara Games within the DIGIAGE ecosystem, played a significant role in facilitating the initial contacts between the parties.
