Huawei has introduced its new Kirin 9050 Pro processor. Featuring a 9-core architecture and advanced 3D design, the processor’s technical specifications and performance information are here.
Huawei officially introduced the Kirin 9050 Pro, the most powerful chipset ever produced, at the launch event of its highly anticipated Mate 90 smartphone series. With these processors, developed for its new flagship models Mate 90 and Mate 90 Pro Max, the company is redefining portable performance standards. The tech giant, which also includes the Kirin 9030 and Kirin 9035 models in the Mate 90 series, is particularly noteworthy for its 9-core architecture and revolutionary 3D logical configuration.
Huawei’s move once again proves the company’s technological independence and innovation capacity in the processor competition in this sector.
Processor Architecture Developed with Innovative Methods
The most striking aspect of the Kirin 9050 Pro is the three-dimensional restructuring of logical elements. This technology manages to increase the component density on the chip without expanding the physical space. The vertical component layout creates up to 5 million signal transmission channels, enabling an enormous data transfer speed of up to 125 TB/s.
Additionally, a 55% reduction in the number of clock frequency buffers and a 30% improvement in critical path latency directly impact the processor’s power efficiency and speed.
Graphics and AI Capabilities are Increased
The new generation Ma Liang 955 graphics processor is specifically optimized for gamers. A 40% performance increase is observed in visual rendering processes, while the average frame rate in games is increased by 35%.
On the other hand, the Da Vinci architecture NPU, designed for AI performance, allows complex AI models to run on the device with its 30-bit hybrid MoE structure. These developments also increase the device’s ISP (Image Processing Unit) capacity, providing 34% higher resolution in telephoto shots.
Performance Differences Within the Series Are Being Determined
The Kirin 9035 and Kirin 9030 processors, other members of the Mate 90 series, also offer significant updates in their respective classes. Reaching speeds of 2.85 GHz, the Kirin 9035 shows an 11% increase in processing power, a 10% increase in graphics power, and a 51% increase in AI speed compared to the previous generation.
In general, the Mate 90 series provides a performance increase ranging from 20% to 31% compared to the previous generation Mate 80 series. With these strategic upgrades, Huawei aims to offer its users a smoother and more efficient portable experience.
