Google has come to the forefront with a new hardware product before the Pixel 11 launch on August 12th. The company’s long-awaited tracking device, Google Pixel Tag, has appeared for the first time in online listings.

Google is preparing to enter the market with this new device, which will operate through the Find My Device network it developed for the Android ecosystem, in a way similar to AirTag. The device, which has the model number GA12506, stands out with its Fog Light color option.

Design and Technical Specifications

Unlike other tracking devices on the market, Google Pixel Tag has a unique, long and rectangular design. Resembling the Fitbit Air model with this appearance, the device does not have any mounting mechanism.

It is claimed that external cases will be required for the device to be used, similar to Apple’s tracking devices. Google Pixel Tag helps to quickly and securely locate lost items via the Find My Device network.

The product is designed to be light and compact enough to be discretely attached to valuables such as keys, wallets, or luggage. It is also stated that the device has a loud speaker to facilitate close-range searches.

Developed with a focus on privacy and personal information protection, the tracking device allows location tracking via smartphone. Currently, no official information has been shared regarding UWB technology or battery type.

Launch Expectations

With the Google Pixel 11 launch approaching, this new tracking device is also expected to be introduced at the same event. However, the fact that the device has not appeared in previous leaks creates uncertainty about a definite release date.
