Google has released a new update for its popular document editing platform, Google Docs. With this update, Gemini can now directly create visuals, diagrams, and infographics within documents.

Users can request custom visuals from Gemini by using document content as context. This makes it possible to visualize text without switching to another application.

Visual Editing and Batch Processing Ease

The new features are not limited to creating visuals; they also allow editing existing visuals. Users can change the aspect ratio of visuals or adjust their styles by giving natural language commands.

Gemini also has the ability to process multiple visuals with a single command. For example, adding an infographic to each main part of the document or harmonizing the style of multiple visuals is now much easier.

These processes can be managed via the bottom bar within the document or the Gemini sidebar. Google states that these new tools aim to speed up the document creation process.

Availability and distribution process

Currently active only in the web version, this feature is being rolled out gradually to users. These innovations are available to users with certain Workspace, education, and Google AI plans.

Google states that it may take approximately 15 days for this update to reach all eligible accounts. The system uses advanced context management to analyze document content and create the most suitable visual.
