Giant $200 Billion Deal Between Anthropic and Google

Giant $200 Billion Deal Between Anthropic and Google

Anthropic has signed a giant agreement to pay Google $200 billion over 5 years for cloud servers and chip access.

Anthropic, the developer of Claude artificial intelligence models, has signed a comprehensive collaboration with Google. The company reportedly made a $200 billion deal with Google to gain access to cloud servers and chip resources.

This huge payment plan covers the next five years. The agreement in question reveals the extent of financial traffic between large companies and artificial intelligence initiatives in the technology world.

Huge Investments and Sectoral Impacts

This deal Anthropic made with Google is similar to other multi-billion dollar arrangements the company has made with Amazon. According to data shared by The Information, agreements made with startups such as Anthropic and OpenAI create a total revenue accumulation of $ 2 trillion for giants such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft and Oracle.

Cloud service providers made a strategic move by investing in these startups during the early stages of growth in artificial intelligence.

These companies predict that the resources that the enterprises will need during the growth process will return to them in the form of high profits. Estimates show that by 2026, OpenAI’s server costs may reach 45 billion dollars and Anthropic’s may reach 20 billion dollars.

Sustainability and Resource Issues

Chip manufacturers such as NVIDIA are similarly becoming a part of this ecosystem by making direct investments in OpenAI. Such costly and cyclical deals are among the key factors fueling the current AI boom.

However, experts warn that this business model does not offer a sustainable structure in the long term.

The pressure created by data centers on limited resources and the ongoing RAM shortage increases the prices of technological devices and negatively affects sales figures. This situation is not expected to change in the near future.

How do you think these huge investments made by technology giants in artificial intelligence initiatives will shape the future of the industry?
