Sony has officially announced a new Complete Edition of Ghost of Yotei, a 2025 release. This special package includes a new expansion pack called Echoes of Sekigahara.

Echoes of Sekigahara is a story-based expansion pack focusing on the past of the game’s main character, Atsu. This content offers players a new valley to explore, different enemies, heavy weapons, and various armor sets.

New Content and Most Wanted Mode

Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition will be released on October 1, 2026, and includes a single-player survival mode called Most Wanted. Andrew Goldfarb from Sucker Punch Productions describes this mode as the studio’s interpretation of the roguelike genre.

Players will progress through the Most Wanted mode by taking on new missions and gaining various advantages as they defeat enemies. This mode also offers the opportunity to unlock new playable characters.

The Complete Edition package includes all content previously available in the digital deluxe version. The package is priced at $69.99, which is the same price as the standard version at the game’s initial release.

Upgrade Details for Existing Players

Users who already own the standard version of the game will have to pay $14.99 to access the Complete Edition content. This represents an additional cost, especially for those who purchased the game on day one and own the digital deluxe version.

For players who do not opt ​​for the paid upgrade, a free update will be released on October 1st. This patch will add the Beauty of Yotei mode to the game, offering various quality-of-life improvements as well as screen-watching-like environmental imagery.

Despite Sony’s plans to reduce physical disc production, a physical PlayStation 5 version of Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition will also be available.
