First Details About Tensor G6, the Heart of Pixel 11

The processor and graphics unit features of the Tensor G6 chipset to be used in the Google Pixel 11 series have been leaked. Here are the technical details of the new generation Pixel.

New information about Google’s highly anticipated Pixel 11 series has come to light. The leaked data offers important clues about the technical features of the Tensor G6 chipset, which will be at the heart of the devices.

The emerging information shows that the new chipset includes significant improvements on the processor side, but raises questions about the graphics unit. The leak also confirms the code names of the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL models.

Tensor G6 processor and graphics performance

According to new leaks, Tensor G6 uses the current C1 core architecture introduced by ARM in the second half of 2025. In this setup, there is one C1 Ultra core running at 4.11GHz, four C1-Pro cores at 3.38GHz and two C1-Pro cores at 2.65GHz.

This structure promises a significant performance increase compared to the Cortex-X4, Cortex-A725 and Cortex-A520 cores used in Tensor G5. It is stated that especially C1-Pro cores offer higher performance than existing A725 cores.

On the graphics side, the situation draws a slightly more complex picture. It is claimed that the Tensor G6 will use the Imagination/PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 GPU unit from 2021. This may be disappointing for technology enthusiasts who have high expectations for graphics performance.

Pixel 11 series and codenames

The leak also clarifies the internal code names that Google uses for its new generation phones. Accordingly, the Pixel 11 series is developed under the code names “Cubs”, Pixel 11 Pro “Grizzly” and Pixel 11 Pro XL “Kodiak”.

The fact that some information in the shared image has been censored suggests that there may be details about the chipset that we do not yet know. It remains unclear whether Google will update this old graphics unit or make a different optimization.

It is a matter of curiosity how this strong increase on the processor side will be reflected in the overall usage experience of the device. How do you think Google’s use of an old architecture in its graphics unit choice will affect the competitiveness of the Pixel 11 series?
