Ferrari’s first electric car, Luce, was officially introduced. Ferrari Luce, with its power exceeding 1000 horsepower, 530 km range and striking design!
Ferrari has officially started a new era in the automotive world with Luce, the first fully electric model it has been working on for a long time. We cover the introduction process and technical details of Luce, which broke Ferrari’s 78-year tradition, chronologically.
Ferrari’s electric car project was actually revealed for the first time at the Capital Markets Day event held on October 9, 2025. At that time, the vehicle was codenamed “Elettrica” and only its technical infrastructure was being introduced.
Then the process moved to the second phase. On February 9, 2026, Ferrari announced that the official name of the model is “Luce” and introduced the interior design of the vehicle. At this stage, the collaboration with Apple’s former chief designer Jony Ive also attracted attention.
Finally, the most critical step was taken on May 25, 2026. Ferrari introduced the exterior design and production-ready version of the Luce model to the world with a big event held in Rome. This event was noted as the official launch of the first mass-produced electric model in the brand’s history.
Ferrari’s electric vision: Expanding, not replacing
Ferrari is taking a different approach to the transition to electric cars with Luce. The brand particularly emphasizes that electrification is not used to replace internal combustion engines, but to expand the product range and create new design and performance opportunities.

This approach is a module of the plan that Ferrari calls “multi-power strategy”. In other words, electric, hybrid and conventional engine Ferrari models will continue to exist together in the future.
Four-motor architecture and high-level integration
At the heart of the Luce model is a new electric platform developed entirely by Ferrari. The most striking feature of this platform is that it has four independent electric motors. Thanks to the individual control of each wheel, the vehicle can instantly optimize torque distribution, which provides incredible precision in driving dynamics.

The system is not limited to just engines.
Additionally in the vehicle:
is available. All of these components work in a single integrated structure, maximizing both the performance and control capability of the vehicle.
According to Ferrari, this level of integration offers a level of driving consistency and repeatable performance never seen before in the brand.

Redefining Design, Technology and Driving Experience in the Electric Age
The advanced software infrastructure used in the model instantly coordinates all components from engines to suspension and braking system, taking both performance and the feeling of driving stability to the highest level. Despite its electric structure, special sound and feedback systems have been developed so that the driver can establish an emotional bond with the car; In this way, Ferrari’s characteristic driving feeling was tried to be preserved.
On the design side, the collaboration with the LoveFrom team of Jony Ive and Marc Newson is one of the most important elements that distinguish the vehicle from an ordinary electric car. In Luce, exterior design, interior and user interface are combined under a single holistic language. While the “glass cabin” structure and shell-like body form give the vehicle a unique identity, the aerodynamic wings at the front and back are designed not only visually but also in a way that will directly contribute to performance.

Internally, instead of a completely digital approach, a system that balances physical and digital controls is preferred. Mechanical buttons and switches are used in conjunction with contemporary displays, aiming to provide a more intuitive, less distracting and more tactilely satisfying driving experience.
When all these features come together, Luce goes beyond just being Ferrari’s first electric model, according to the brand. While freer design solutions, a different performance character and new generation user experiences become possible thanks to the flexibility provided by electric architecture, Ferrari clearly demonstrates that it has created a completely new car class and brand interpretation with this model.

Ferrari Luce Technical Specifications and Performance
Ferrari Luce draws attention not only with its electric power but also with the performance it offers. The vehicle has four electric motors and the total power exceeds 1000 horsepower.
The prominent technical features of the model are as follows:
Ferrari Luce is also positioned as a four-door and four-seat Grand Tourer and combines the brand’s classic sports car approach with contemporary electric technology.
The model, which will be produced at Ferrari’s new “e-building” facility in Maranello, is planned to come off the line in 2026 and the first deliveries will be made in the last quarter of the year.
