DJI Osmo Pocket 4P with Dual Cameras is Coming

DJI Osmo Pocket 4P with Dual Cameras is Coming

DJI Osmo Pocket 4P was introduced with a dual camera system, 3x optical zoom and 4K 240 fps support. All the details of the new generation gimbal camera with 107 GB internal storage are in our news.

DJI is taking a new step that excites content creators. The compact gimbal camera series, one of the company’s most popular product groups, is preparing to push its limits with the “Osmo Pocket 4P”. Shared official images and leaked technical details show that the new model will offer not just an update but a radical change. In particular, the dual camera setup and advanced optical zoom capabilities bring the Pocket series one step closer to professional cinematography tools.

  • The device switches to a dual camera system with a second telephoto lens added next to the 1-inch main sensor.

  • With 107 GB internal storage space and 800 MB/s transfer speed, microSD card dependency is eliminated.

  • High-level image quality is offered with 240 fps slow motion support at 4K resolution and 14 stops of dynamic range.

Dual Camera and Optical Zoom Revolution

The biggest difference that separates the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P model from its Competitors and previous generations is the two different lenses it contains on its body. The 1-inch wide-angle main sensor we see in the standard model is this time accompanied by a special telephoto lens. This structure allows users to achieve true optical zoom up to 3x. It is now much easier to blur the background (bokeh) more naturally in vlog shooting and to record distant objects without loss of detail.

Color consistency between the two lenses is one of the issues that DJI focuses on the most. Using advanced color science, the device accelerates the professional editing process by preventing white balance or tonal differences when switching between lenses. In addition, with 10-bit D-Log and D-Log M profile support, content producers are provided with wide flexibility in the color grading phase.

Powerful Performance: 4K 240 FPS and ActiveTrack 7.0

The improvements made on the hardware side are not limited to camera lenses only. Thanks to the new generation processor, Osmo Pocket 4P can reach 240 frames per second (fps) at 4K resolution. This means that action moments or artistic shots can be slowed down with incredible fluidity. 14 stops of dynamic range creates a cinematic texture by preserving shadow and highlight details in high-contrast scenes such as sunsets.

On the artificial intelligence-supported tracking system side, the transition is made to ActiveTrack 7.0 technology. This new version makes object tracking much more stable, and can quickly re-find even subjects that have briefly left the frame. Especially for vloggers who shoot alone, this feature gives smooth results as if there was an operator behind the camera.

Internal Storage and Ergonomic Innovations

DJI offers a radical solution to the problem of microSD card speed and write errors that users have been complaining about for years. Pocket 4P comes with a high-speed internal storage of 107 GB. Thanks to high data transfer speeds of 800 MB/s, huge 4K videos can be transferred to computers or mobile devices within seconds.

There are also important touches in the external design of the device. The 2-inch rotatable OLED touch screen, which can reach 1000 nits of brightness, offers a clear image even under sunlight. While the 5D analog joystick added to the body allows precise fingertip control of gimbal movements, new control buttons take the user experience to the next level. The 1,545 mAh battery, which provides uninterrupted recording for over 200 minutes, is your biggest helper on long shooting days.
