DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Gledi with Dual Camera

DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Gledi with Dual Camera

DJI launched its new dual-camera gimbal camera, Osmo Pocket 4P, for sale in China. Here are the 1 inch sensor, 4K 60fps recording and all the technical details.

DJI has officially launched its highly anticipated new gimbal camera, DJI Osmo Pocket 4P, in the Chinese market. This launch, which comes exactly one month after its first launch at the Cannes Cinema Festival, aims to redefine professional shooting standards for content creators. The device, which was released with a starting price of 3,799 Chinese Yuan, attracts attention especially with its dual camera system and advanced sensor technologies. Introduced in an era when competition in the sector is increasing, this new generation camera challenges its strong competitors such as Insta360 Luna Ultra with the technical features it offers in both image and photography.

  • DJI Osmo Pocket 4P offers a dual camera structure consisting of a 1-inch main sensor and a 1/1.28-inch telephoto sensor.
  • The device stands out with its 4K 60fps image recording and 37 megapixel photo resolution support.
  • The battery system is supported by fast charging technology, which reaches 80 percent charge in 18 minutes.
  • There are ongoing patent lawsuits between DJI and Insta360 over the design and technologies of the device.

Advanced Camera Hardware Boosts Performance

The new DJI Osmo Pocket 4P is equipped with a 1-inch main sensor with LOFIC technology to maximize image quality. This main sensor promises high performance even in low light conditions with its 20mm focal length and f / 2.0 aperture. The accompanying telephoto camera with 60mm equivalent focal length increases shooting flexibility by offering 3x optical zoom feature.

The 3-axis mechanical gimbal system offered by the device makes professional cinematic shots accessible to everyone with smart object tracking.

Technical Features Improve User Experience

Osmo Pocket 4P, which is quite demanding on video shooting, can record 60fps at 4K resolution. While a 4K 240fps option is offered for slow motion enthusiasts, 10-bit image recording and D-Log2 color profile support professional color editing processes. The 2-inch rotatable touch screen on the device provides comfortable use even in sunny environments with a brightness of 1,000 nits.

The product, which makes users happy in terms of storage capacity, comes out of the box with 103 GB internal memory. This space can be expanded up to 1 TB thanks to microSD card support. Its lightweight 230 gram body and fast-charging 1,545 mAh battery make the device an ideal companion for traveling content creators.

Competition Triggers Legal Processes in the Market

The struggle for market share is not limited to technical features alone. The tension between DJI and Insta360 has moved to the judicial stage with mutual patent lawsuits. While DJI argued that the Luna Ultra model violated its own patents, Insta360 took the process to a legal level by filing a countersuit regarding gimbal and 360-degree camera technologies.

The product, which is available for pre-order in China with Classic Black and Pearl White color options, can be preferred with the Vlog kit option as well as the standard kit. DJI Osmo Pocket 4P seems to be a candidate to be one of the most talked about camera models of the year with both its technological innovations and legal discussions.
