The Directorate of Communications announced that it has created its official corporate profile on the global platform Hugging Face, one of the world’s largest artificial intelligence and machine learning communities.

With this innovative step, the Presidency has become the first public institution in Türkiye to share open data and corporate information on the platform.

DMM Bulletins Shared as Open Data Set

The first action taken after the profile was put into use was quite remarkable. Disinformation bulletins prepared so far by the Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) have been uploaded to the platform in open data set format.

This huge shared archive contains approximately From 2,810 verified claim recordsis formed. Within the data set; Unfounded claims that spread rapidly on social media on critical issues that closely concern society, such as earthquakes, elections, migration and economy, and the official verifications of these claims are included in all transparency.

Critical Step for Artificial Intelligence Developers and Academic Studies

The data set published in both Turkish and English languages, Licensed under CC-BY-4.0It is made available for completely free use by journalists, researchers and artificial intelligence developers. The main benefits of this move to the technology and academic world are as follows:

• Turkish Artificial Intelligence Models:Using this verified data, developers will be able to train new and powerful artificial intelligence models (LLM) that can specifically “detect Turkish disinformation”.
