Chinese Pudu Robotics announced the world’s first hotel, which will be put into service in 2027 and whose entire operations will be managed by robots.
Chinese Pudu Roboticsis preparing to open the world’s first hotel, which will be entirely managed by robots, in 2027. in Guangdong province West Artificial IslandAll operational processes such as reception, room service, cleaning and food preparation will be carried out by robots in the facility to be located on the site.
The project, developed in cooperation with Pudu Robotics and Shenzhen Culture & Tourism Industry Development, aims to transform West Artificial Island, which started operating in December 2025, into a high-tech-oriented tourism center. Although the company has previously offered robotic solutions in different branches such as retail and restaurant, this project is the first application in which the entire hotel operation is entrusted entirely to robots.
Robots will do everything
The hotel project will not be put into service at full capacity at once. During the first trial period, which is planned to start in late 2026, a limited number of rooms and robot-assisted services will be available to visitors. At this stage, guests will be greeted by robots, complete their check-in process digitally and benefit from autonomous delivery services to their rooms.
The facility will include 44 luxury rooms, a restaurant, a gym and various social areas. All services, from guest check-in processes to room cleaning, will be managed through an interconnected closed-loop smart service system.
The entire system will work with a single artificial intelligence infrastructure
The operational center of the hotel will consist of an advanced system built on Pudu’s hardware and software ecosystem. On the basis of this structure, the company PuduFM 1.0with its artificial intelligence named PuduAgentThe platform is included. This infrastructure enables robots in different missions to act in a coordinated manner through a common system.

Reception robots can understand social interactions and gestures, while delivery robots can optimize their routes on their own. Cleaning robots fulfill their mission by adapting to changing environmental conditions.

All these robots will continue the workflow within the hotel uninterrupted by sharing the same basic artificial intelligence capabilities. What do you think about the experience of staying in a hotel that will be managed entirely by robots?
