We compare Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 and Dimensity 7400 processors in detail in terms of benchmark scores, camera and gaming performance.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 and Dimensity 7400 processors, introduced to the technology world in February 2025, intensify the competition in the mid-low segment smartphone market. Developed by Qualcomm and MediaTek, these two chipsets aim to offer high performance and efficiency with contemporary 4nm production technology.
While Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 stands out with its advanced Cortex-A720 core architecture and Elite Gaming features, Dimensity 7400 stands out with its high clock speeds and strong 5G connection capacity. In order to determine which chipset offers a better experience for users, it is necessary to examine the benchmark scores and technical hardware differences of the devices in detail.
Technical Specifications Offer Different Approaches
Although both processors are produced with TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process, their core configurations are quite different from each other. While Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 offers stable performance with its 1 + 3 + 4 sequence, Dimensity 7400 prefers the 4 + 4 structure, focusing on higher clock speeds.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 maintains a consistent lead in benchmark tests thanks to its newer core architecture.
Benchmark Results Reveal the Performance Difference
In Geekbench 6 tests, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 managed to get ahead of Dimensity 7400 by scoring 1092 in single-core and 3094 in multi-core. In AnTuTu v11 tests, the Snapdragon chip exceeded the 980 thousand threshold and showed a stronger profile in general use.
On the graphics performance side, the Adreno 810 GPU minimizes lag, especially in games, thanks to Snapdragon Elite Gaming support. Although the Dimensity 7400’s Mali-G615 MP2 graphics unit is quite sufficient for daily tasks, it cannot offer as optimized an experience as Snapdragon in high-performance games.
Camera and Connection Options Are Being Evaluated
For photography enthusiasts, both processors provide 200MP camera support and 4K image recording. However, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 provides the advantage of zero shutter lag by processing three sensors simultaneously with Spectra Triple ISP technology. Dimensity 7400 improves the image quality with Google Ultra HDR support and hardware-based noise reduction features. Regarding the connection, although the Dimensity 7400 reaches a higher peak speed with 3.27 Gbps, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4, which has mmWave support, provides a more stable connection in regions requiring wide bandwidth.
For game enthusiasts, Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 stands out as a better choice with the superior graphics optimization it offers.
