LineShine managed to surpass its US rival El Capitan, which was previously at the top, with its performance of 2,198 exaflops. El Capitan, located at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, is now second on the list.
Technical details and processor architecture
The system was built on a specially developed 304-core processor architecture. In this architecture, a total of 13.79 million cores operate at 1.55 GHz, providing high processing power.
The cores work in a coordinated manner by being integrated with each other through a special contact infrastructure. This complex structure enables the system’s huge information processing capacity.
The machine consumes approximately 42.2 megawatts of power in its operational processes. In terms of power efficiency, it reveals a remarkable value of 52.07 gigaflops per watt.
