Activision has shared the official PC system requirements for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 before the beta process. Compared to the ever-increasing hardware demands of today’s AAA games, the specifications are quite optimized, and the game will even run on older generation graphics cards with just 3 GB of VRAM. The beta tests for Modern Warfare 4 are taking place in two phases. The first weekend (August 21-25) opens as an early access period for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S users who pre-ordered the game. The second weekend (August 28-September 1) is offered as a free Open Beta format open to all players, including Nintendo Switch 2 users.

The development team is keeping the entry barrier quite low in order to appeal to a wide audience of gamers. At a minimum, cards that have been on the market for years, such as the GeForce GTX 1060, Radeon RX 470, or Intel Arc A580, are considered sufficient.

However, for those aiming for a smooth 60 FPS experience and console-quality visual details, hardware such as the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti or Radeon RX 6700 XT is recommended.
