BMW Alpina, which has fully joined the BMW Group, introduced the first concept model of the new era, Vision Alpina. Mass production of the huge coupe model with a V8 engine and luxurious details is coming in 2027.
This imposing concept, which will glide on the roads like a giant with its full length of 5,199 mm, draws the image of an electric vehicle at first glance with its closed grille design, but it carries a roaring V8 engine at its heart. This first show of the “BMW Alpina” sub-brand, officially established as of January 1, 2026, aims to completely change the balance in the luxury segment.
Here are the important details about the first concept model of the new era:
First Product of the New Partnership:Alpina, which remained independent until the end of 2025 after the acquisition in 2022, took its official place within BMW as of January 1, 2026, and this concept was introduced as the first representative of the new era.
Balance of Design and Power:The imposing model, which is 5,199 mm long, offers a modern and electric atmosphere with its closed shutter design and has a powerful V8 engine under its hood.
Mass Production Date Determined:The mass production version of the vehicle, which adopts BMW’s new generation “Neue Klasse” console architecture in its futuristic interior, is expected to hit the roads in 2027.
A Brand New Era Begins Under the Roof of the BMW Group
Known in the automotive world for its performance-oriented modifications and high-level comfort details, Alpina has completed the transition process and become fully a part of the BMW Group.
In line with the long-term strategic planning, the brand’s independent operating period ended as of December 2025. When the calendar showed January 1, 2026, the “BMW Alpina” brand, a new powerhouse in the premium segment, was officially born.

This merger is not just a name change. The brand is now focusing on producing exclusive luxury vehicles targeted at ultra-wealthy customers, with a much wider range of customization options. The Vision Alpina concept, exhibited in the fascinating atmosphere of Italy, is described as the first concrete evidence of this goal.
Vision Alpina: Traditional Power Meets Modern Design
When viewed from the outside, the Vision Alpina concept resembles a new generation of fully electric vehicles due to its aerodynamic structure and closed shutter design. However, the detail that will delight car enthusiasts is hidden in the heart of the vehicle.
BMW Alpina does not immediately surrender to the electric trend in its new model and prefers a powerful V8 engine that reflects traditional driving pleasure. Experts state that this engine is supported by a 4.4-liter twin-turbo hybrid system and produces over 700 horsepower.

The fascinating body of the vehicle also sends a nod to the history of the brand. The classic retro blue body color is accompanied by handcrafted legendary Deco Set lines. Additionally, the design includes chrome details referencing the BMW 507 model.
At the rear, the quad oval exhaust outlets are seamlessly integrated into the body support both a premium stance and promise a new acoustic experience.

New Generation Technological Cockpit
When you open the door of the vehicle, you are greeted by a “Neue Klasse” inspired console design that represents BMW’s future vision. Luxury leather upholstery attracts attention in this interior, which consists entirely of driver-oriented and minimalist lines.
The advanced Head-Up instrument panel, which changes color according to driving modes, reflects the view of the Alps seen when looking south from the town of Buchloe, where the brand was born, to the driver when switched from Comfort + mode to Speed mode.
Eyes on Mass Production in 2027
This huge coupe-shaped model, which created great excitement in the automobile world, is directly based on the new generation BMW 7 Series platform. For now, it is only a “Vision”, that is, its future demonstration, and work continues rapidly for the real version of the vehicle that will be put into mass production.
BMW Alpina plans to officially introduce the mass production version of this special model, which blends luxury and speed, in 2027. This special series, which will be produced in limited numbers, is offered for sale with a price tag well above standard BMW models and a unique prestige, without reaching the level of Rolls-Royce.
