Battery details about the new generation flagship iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models, which Apple is expected to introduce in September, are already coming to light.

Official records appear in the knowledge base of the China-based 3C (China Compulsory Certification) institution clearly confirms the battery capacities of the highly anticipated devices.

While the new data points to a remarkable battery increase, especially in the Pro Max model, it shows that Apple will take a rapid step in terms of battery life with the A20 Pro processor, which goes through the 2nm production process.

What Do iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max Battery Details Offer?

The 3C certification platform, one of the reliable sources of information in the technology world, is known for verifying the technical specifications of devices through official documents.

According to the latest documents, the Chinese version of the iPhone 18 Pro model (the model with a physical SIM tray) carries a 4056 mAh battery, and the US version (the eSIM-only model) carries a 4288 mAh battery.

The iPhone 17 Pro model, released last year, had a 3988 mAh battery in the Chinese version and a 4252 mAh battery in the US version. When we look at these numbers, we see that the increase in the standard Pro model remains relatively modest.

These certificate records, which confirm the information previously shared by the famous leak source Digital Chat Station, show that the real surprise will be experienced in the biggest device of the series.

When we move to the iPhone 18 Pro Max, the top model of the series, we are greeted with a much more obvious rise.

According to the certification lists, the version of the device to be sold in the Chinese market has a battery capacity of 5391 mAh, while the version without a physical SIM tray to be sold in the US market has a battery capacity of 5567 mAh.

In the previous generation iPhone 17 Pro Max model, these values ​​were 4823 mAh and 5088 mAh, respectively. The extra space gained inside the device by removing the SIM tray allows the battery to be further enlarged in the US model.

This change proves that the new Pro Max model will come with a noticeable capacity increase of approximately 500 mAh.

Android Competitors and Apple’s Productivity Strategy

Nowadays, Chinese smartphone manufacturers such as Xiaomi, Oppo and OnePlus integrate huge batteries with capacities of 7000 mAh and even more into their flagship models.

Especially new generation silicon-carbon battery technologies are completely changing battery standards in the Android market.

Apple, on the other hand, has historically preferred to rely on the high power efficiency of its own designed chips and the optimizations of the iOS operating system, rather than competing with its rivals solely on battery capacity.

On the design side, it is estimated that Apple will largely maintain the current line. However, it is said that the Dynamic Island notch at the top of the screen will be visibly smaller, thanks to some Face ID sensors being hidden completely under the screen.
