Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro will have more advanced upscaling and frame rendering features compared to the standard model. The basis of this hardware difference lies in the two special Matrix ALU blocks located in the Adreno 850 GPU and not available in the standard model.

In addition to accelerating graphics memory, these blocks also enable the AI ​​Frame Fusion feature to work. The system will offer a super resolution mode that increases 1080p resolution to 1440p.

This process; It will be achieved by combining motion vectors, depth buffer, low resolution color buffer and a previously created frame. The second mode will increase the frame rate with low power consumption by adding a frame produced by artificial intelligence between two frames, similar to NVIDIA’s frame rendering technology.

AI Frame Fusion technology aims to increase efficiency by relieving the load on the graphics processor. However, the fact that the main use of this technology is AAA games may be a disadvantage considering the variety of games on the Android platform.
