Ayaneo continues its interest in the retro gaming world with a new device. The company introduced the Konkr Pocket Block model, based on the iconic Game Length design and equipped with artificial intelligence features.

This device, which is smaller than the vertically designed handheld consoles previously released, has a very compact form factor. Ayaneo defines this new model as the world’s first artificial intelligence-based handheld console.

Retro design and artificial intelligence together

The company showed the Konkr Pocket Block model for the first time through CEO Arthur Zhang during a live broadcast. The device carries more obvious retro aesthetic details compared to previous models such as Pocket Vert and Pocket DMG.

Although Ayaneo shared the design of the device, it has not yet disclosed the details of the artificial intelligence features that will be included. The company stated that it will provide more information in the future about what exactly these features can do and why it positioned the device in this way.

Konkr Pocket Block appeals to a different segment than the premium handheld consoles that the company has previously released and whose prices can exceed $ 1,000. The fact that the device will be released under Ayaneo’s budget-friendly sub-brand also lowers price expectations.

Pricing and expectations

There is currently no official statement about the exact sales price of the device. However, it is expected to have a more affordable price tag than the Pocket Vert model, which is sold at prices starting from $ 269.

Unlike the minimalist and stylish vertical designs it offered in the past, Ayaneo chose to focus on a completely nostalgic look in this new model. The dimensions of the device were designed to allow users to simply carry it in their pockets.
