Huawei has released the new HarmonyOS update for Enjoy 90 Pro Max, which allows adjusting the volume of each application independently.
The “application-specific sound adjustment” feature, which smartphone users have been dreaming of for a long time and which will radically change the multimedia experience, has finally become a reality.
In a surprise decision before its flagship models, Chinese technology giant Huawei introduces this revolutionary feature with the latest HarmonyOS 6.1.0.125 update released for its budget-friendly smartphone Enjoy 90 Pro Max.
Thanks to this new capability, users can control the volume of other applications or incoming notifications completely independently, without disrupting the main audio system, while listening to music in the background or playing games.
This update, which maximizes the ease of use in the smartphone world, also brings remarkable innovations in system security and camera.
How Does the Independent Application Sound Management Feature Work on Huawei Phones?
Many technology enthusiasts expected high-end software capabilities such as app-specific voice control to come first to ultra-premium flagship smartphones such as the Mate or Pura series.
However, Huawei follows a contrary strategy and puts this long-developed feature into use by testing it on the budget-friendly Enjoy 90 Pro Max model.
Users can easily access this new function by following the “Settings > Sound and Vibration > Application Volume Individual Adjustment” menu path on their devices.
The operating logic of the system is designed to be very practical, without interrupting daily use at all.
After the feature’s main switch is activated, the standard sound bar panel appears on the screen when the phone’s physical volume up or down button is pressed.
When you slide this panel to the left with your finger, a list of all applications that are currently using sound in the background or actively and their individual sound sliders are listed.
For example, while listening to loud music on Spotify, you can completely turn down the volume of Instagram or TikTok videos. In this way, sudden sound explosions or unwanted advertising sounds do not disrupt the atmosphere of the music you are listening to or the game you are playing.
Other Important Innovations with HarmonyOS 6.1.0.125
This new software package prepared by Huawei for the Enjoy 90 Pro Max model is not limited to improvements in audio engineering alone.
A series of innovations that directly affect the overall performance and user experience of the device and make the operating system much more flexible are also distributed to users with this version.
Advanced Camera Watermark and Smart Gallery Management
For users who like to take photos, a new automatic watermark tool is added to the camera settings.
When this feature is activated, time taken, geographical position information and special text watermarks that can be fully personalized are automatically added to the bottom corner of all photos taken with the rear camera of the device.
On the gallery side, the “Smart Album” structure is being updated. Users can now completely fold and hide smart albums by tapping the right arrow icon on the album page. In this way, the photo library is managed in a much cleaner, systematic and flexible way.
Lock Screen Customization and Hideable Navigation Keys
The new update also provides ample opportunities for those who want to change the visual identity of the phone. Users can edit the style of the lock screen, clock font and lock screen signature as they wish, and place functional widgets in this area.
A smart hide switch is also offered for those using the traditional three-button navigation system. When this switch is turned on in the settings, the navigation keys under the screen are hidden with a single touch and the screen is left entirely to the application.
When needed, a slow swipe from the bottom of the screen to the top is enough to bring back the keys. In addition, the system is fully armored with the May 2026 security patch to protect the device against the most current cyber threats.
