Apple registered a new subdomain named genai.apple.com ahead of the WWDC 2026 event to be held next month. This development increases expectations that the company is accelerating its work in the field of artificial intelligence.

The subdomain in question was discovered by Aaron Perris of MacRumors and does not currently redirect to any live web page. Although it is not yet clear whether this address will be a public platform, it is thought to be directly related to the announcements Apple will make within the scope of WWDC.

New Era Focused on Artificial Intelligence

WWDC 2026 stands out as an event where Apple fulfills its promises in 2024 and expands its artificial intelligence vision with new announcements. Siri gains better understanding of personal context, screen awareness, and the ability to perform actions on behalf of the user within applications.

These capabilities come to life thanks to Apple’s collaboration with Google. Apple uses Gemini-based models hosted on Private Cloud Compute to power Siri.

Apple is also working on a new Siri application where users can access past Siri conversations and have text-based conversations. This new application aims to take the user experience to a more interactive level.

Other Apple Intelligence features expected to be introduced at the event include creating wallet cards from physical tickets and new editing tools in the Photos app. Additional functionality is expected to be announced on the visual intelligence side.
