Xiaomi has introduced its new projector series to users in the Chinese market. One of the standout models in the series, the Redmi Projector 5 Pro, attracts attention with its 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 lumens brightness.

The device stands out especially with its technical specifications developed to improve the gaming experience. Offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the projector provides fast reaction with a low latency of 5 ms.

Redmi Projector 5 Pro Technical Details

The Redmi Projector 5 Pro supports MEMC technology, which performs frame interpolation to increase fluidity in moving images. Coming with HDR10 support, the device offers 1,000 CVIA lumens brightness.

This brightness level corresponds to approximately 700 ISO lumens and falls into the mid-range according to the ANSI standard. Therefore, the projector exhibits more efficient image performance, especially in dark or low-light environments.

Xiaomi states that the device’s white balance and color temperature settings have been optimized to deliver realistic images. A dual-circulation air cooling system is used to prevent the device from overheating during prolonged use.

This cooling structure provides high heat dissipation while keeping the fan noise at 28 dB. On the hardware side, there is a MediaTek MT9660 processor, 2 GB of RAM, and 64 GB of internal storage.

Xiaomi states that this hardware capacity is sufficient for applications to run smoothly and that the 64 GB of storage is suitable for a large application library. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6, USB 2.0, HDMI 2.1 (eARC), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Advanced connectivity and audio features

The projector simplifies the setup with its ToF-based automatic adjustment system. Additionally, thanks to its wide-angle side projection support of up to 30 degrees, the landscape can be projected from different angles.

On the audio side, a 10W dual speaker system with Dolby Audio support is offered to users. Xiaomi has set the launch price of the Redmi Projector 5 Pro in China at 1,999 yuan.
