Xiaomi has introduced its new Mijia 5HP floor-standing air conditioner model, designed for large indoor spaces, to the Chinese market. Priced at 7,999 yuan on JD.com, this device offers an ideal solution, especially for large areas of 50 to 80 square meters.
Suitable for use in homes as well as small commercial spaces, this new model stands out with its technical specifications. The system is supported by a 38.6cc compressor, promising a high-performance operation.
High Performance and Fast Air Conditioning
With a maximum cooling capacity of 13,200W and a heating capacity of 17,250W, the device can quickly bring large spaces to the desired temperature. The system quickly balances the ambient temperature by providing rapid cooling in 30 seconds and rapid heating in 60 seconds.
The air conditioner, which does not use auxiliary electric heating, operates entirely on heat pump technology. This technology delivers efficient performance even in severe conditions where the outside temperature is between -35°C and 65°C.
The 120mm fan impeller in the indoor unit can blow 1,850 cubic meters of air per hour through an 181mm opening. The airflow spreads over a width of 115 degrees and has a range of up to 17 meters.
Thanks to four-way airflow settings, users can direct the air towards the ceiling or floor, avoiding direct drafts. This feature is specifically designed to increase comfort, especially during long periods of use.
Energy Efficiency and Smart Features
The model, which is in the Class 1 power efficiency category, stands out with its 3.75 APF value. Xiaomi’s developed software algorithms can reduce power consumption by approximately 20 percent compared to standard use.
This energy saving mechanism has the potential to provide users with approximately 972kWh of power savings annually compared to older and less efficient models. This efficiency offered by the device aims to reduce long-term operating costs.
As part of the Xiaomi ecosystem, the air conditioner can be controlled via the Mijia application. In addition, XiaoAI voice command support and HyperOS Connect integration enable the device to work compatibly with other smart home products.
The cloud-based diagnostic system offered on the software side can detect 122 different hardware problems such as low refrigerant level or blockage. The device can keep its software up-to-date by receiving wireless updates.
The self-cleaning cycle developed for maintenance processes cleans the indoor evaporator by drying it with a 58°C heating process. The indoor unit, notable for its white tower design, has a height of 1,868mm and weighs 30kg.
The outdoor unit, which operates at a sound level of 50 to 52dB(A) at high fan speeds, weighs 68kg. Do you think Xiaomi’s new floor-standing air conditioner is sufficient to meet the air conditioning needs of large spaces?
