Keeping your device updated against security vulnerabilities is vital to protecting your digital data.
Which Devices Is the Update Available for?
Xiaomi prioritizes the security of its users by rolling out the new security patch to a wide range of devices. The list ranges from flagship models to entry-level phones and tablets. On the Xiaomi side, well-known models such as the 17T series, 14 Ultra and 13T received updates, while in the tablet segment, devices such as Pad 7 and Pad 6S Pro were also included in the list.
Among POCO devices, X8 Pro, X7 and many M series models have started receiving the update. In the Redmi series, security patches were released for affordable entry-level devices, as well as the Note 15 and Note 14 series. Since Xiaomi releases updates gradually by region, you may have to wait a few days if you do not see the update on your device yet.
How to Check for Updates?
It’s easy to check if new software updates have arrived on your device. You can check for updates via the HyperOS logo by entering your device’s Settings menu and clicking the About Phone tab. If you do not see the update now, you may have to wait a few days due to server density or regional restrictions.
Regular security patches support the long-term performance of the software and the confidentiality of user information.
Future Software Updates Expected
In addition to security patches, Xiaomi continues to work on Android 17-based HyperOS 4 updates. The company is carrying out an intensive development process to make the user experience smoother and add new features. The July security update also forms the basis for larger software updates to come in the future.
