According to details shared by Xiaomi, the main camera in the 18 Pro series features a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. It is equipped with this hardware, combining the detail advantage provided by high resolution with Leica’s optical expertise.
The 200MP periscope telephoto camera, in particular, stands out with its 1/1.56-inch sensor size. This lens, with an f/2.4 aperture, offers 3.2x optical zoom and promises professional results in portrait photography with its 75mm focal length. Additionally, the ability to take macro shots from a very close distance of 12 cm increases the device’s versatility.
Light Capture Capacity Significantly Improved
Xiaomi shared comparative data with previous models to highlight the new series’ success in low-light conditions. It is stated that the telephoto lens of the 18 Pro model can capture 280% more light than the 17 Pro series.
In the 18 Pro Max model, this enhancement is described as an 83% higher light input compared to the 17 Pro Max. These technical improvements reduce noise and increase color accuracy in photos taken at night or in high-light conditions.

With tomorrow’s launch, all the technical details of the Xiaomi 18 Pro series and its plans for the global market will become clear.
