WhatsApp Offers New Chat List for iOS

WhatsApp Offers New Chat List for iOS

WhatsApp is introducing a new interface feature for iOS that makes it easier to organize chat lists. Here are all the details about the new filters and management options.

WhatsApp brings a new interface system to the iOS platform that allows users to manage their chats more systematically. This feature, introduced with the WhatsApp for iOS 26.21.74 update, allows users to move their secondary chat lists to another menu to reduce crowding in the Chats tab. Originally developed for Android users, this beautification now makes it easier for iPhone users to personalize their chat lists as well. This innovation, which is gradually being distributed in both the App Store and TestFlight versions, aims to optimize the messaging experience by allowing users to access the chat categories they need more quickly.

  • WhatsApp has developed a new interface design that allows hiding secondary lists to manage chat lists more efficiently.
  • Users can now organize their home screens by hiding even default filters, including favorites, according to their preferences.
  • The new draft filtering feature helps users quickly find messages they left unfinished.
  • The feature is currently being gradually rolled out to users worldwide with iOS version 26.21.74.

Chat List Management Becomes More Functional

WhatsApp’s chat lists help users categorize their messages into clusters, unread or communities. However, when many custom lists were created, this horizontal list at the top could become quite complex. To eliminate this confusion, the new update allows users to move lists they do not actively use to a special ‘Filter’ menu.

Users can now personally decide which chat filters appear in the top row.

Default Filters Can Now Be Hidden

In previous versions, default filters such as favorites or sets offered by WhatsApp were always visible. This restriction has been removed with the new system. Users can completely personalize their chat screens by moving the default filters they do not need to the secondary menu.

Adding a New Filter for Draft Papers

One of the most striking innovations of the update was the special section reserved for draft declarations. When users start writing messages in a chat and do not send them, the system marks these chats with the ‘Draft’ tag. Thanks to the new filter, these unfinished messages can be accessed quickly. This small but effective touch aims to prevent valuable messages from being forgotten.

Feature Becoming Gradually Widespread

Currently, a group of users using the current version published on the App Store can access this feature. Additionally, individuals who experience the beta version through TestFlight can also use this new management system. Although WhatsApp has not announced an official timetable, it is expected that all iOS users will have these advanced chat editing features in the coming weeks.

Do you think WhatsApp’s new chat list management will increase the ease of use of the application, or has it turned into a more complex structure? Don’t forget to share your opinions and how you found the new feature in the comments section!
