WhatsApp Calls Appear in History with One UI 9

WhatsApp Calls Appear in History with One UI 9

With the One UI 9 update, Samsung collects WhatsApp and Google Meet calls in a single call history. Here are the details of the new feature.

Samsung offers a new feature that improves the user experience with the One UI 9 beta version released for the Galaxy S26 series. This update allows you to manage all voice and video calls through a single application.

Based on Android 17, One UI 9 brings the third-party call log integration that Google introduced with its new operating system to Galaxy phones. Now, the Samsung Phone application can list calls from well-known platforms such as WhatsApp and Google Meet directly in its call history.

How does search history integration work?

The new feature is available to users effectively by default and allows conversations with third-party applications to be monitored from a single center. This system, which is currently compatible with Google Meet and WhatsApp, is not currently supported in applications such as Telegram.

Users can simply disable this feature if they do not want third-party call records to appear in the Samsung Phone app. To change the settings, you need to open the Samsung Phone application and enter the Settings menu by tapping the three dots icon in the upper right corner.

You can access the Other call applications option by going to the Other call settings section in the Settings menu. Through this section, you can manage which third-party applications’ call records will be integrated according to your personal preferences.

More app reinforcements expected in the future

Google first announced this ability with the Android 17 beta update. While all devices using the Android 17 operating system are expected to support this feature, more applications are expected to be included in this integration over time.

As Android 17 becomes widespread, it is expected that third-party search applications will also adopt this feature and the search experience on Samsung devices will become more integrated.

Do you think collecting calls from different applications in a single list will make your job easier in daily use?
