WhatsApp Announces Message Scheduling Feature

WhatsApp Announces Message Scheduling Feature

WhatsApp is developing the notification scheduling feature for iPhone users. You can plan and schedule your messages in advance.

WhatsApp continues to develop the highly anticipated notification scheduling feature for iPhone users. This new function allows users to prepare their texts in advance and have them automatically sent at a certain date and time in the future. The feature, which is in the testing phase, can be used both in individual chats and group calls. This tool, which is still under development, will allow users to manage their contacts more efficiently. This system, which is not available to beta users yet, will also offer a special section to manage and delete messages before sending.

  • WhatsApp is working on a new feature that allows users to postpone their messages to a future time.
  • The message scheduling tool can be used actively in both individual and group conversations.
  • Users will be able to view or delete their scheduled messages before they are sent via a special panel.
  • Scheduled messages can be set for a minimum of 10 minutes from the current moment and a maximum of two weeks in advance.

Message Scheduling Feature Increases Chat Control

WhatsApp continues to improve notification scheduling tools within the scope of beta updates. This feature, which was originally designed only for individual chats, is now expanded to include group chats. Users will be able to easily schedule their messages by pressing and holding the send button.

Scheduling messages provides great convenience for birthday celebrations or professional reminders.

The system comes with a special interface where users can manage their messages. In this section, all scheduled messages will be listed and can be canceled if necessary before a random message is sent. The fact that no notification will be sent to the other party when the notification is deleted stands out as an important detail in terms of user privacy.

Content Consistency is Maintained in Group Chats

When the new feature is used in group chats, WhatsApp will work within a certain logic. Scheduled notifications will only be visible to members who were in the cluster at the time the message was scheduled. This way, new users who join the cluster later will not receive old scheduled notifications.

This approach ensures that the flow of chat within the cluster is not disrupted and the brand new context is preserved. WhatsApp is focusing on these improvements to make users’ connection experience more flexible.

Timing Range Covers a Period of Two Weeks

The system that WhatsApp works on allows users to have a certain time interval when scheduling their messages. Notifications can be set to be sent at least 10 minutes after the current time. The maximum timing period is determined as two weeks.

Flexible time slots help users organize their non-urgent connections more neatly.

Expected to be Tested with Future Updates

Currently, the feature is in the development phase and is not yet available to public beta users. Updates made via TestFlight show that WhatsApp is working determinedly on this feature. Although the official release date is not yet clear, the feature is expected to be available to large audiences with future updates.
