Vivo introduced its long-awaited new flagship series, the Vivo These devices, notable for their camera systems developed in collaboration with Zeiss and Sony, aim to set a new standard in portable photography.

The models, which are available in the Chinese market, are planned to enter the European market in October. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processor, these new generation smartphones are intensifying competition in the high-end segment with both their hardware features and advanced imaging technologies.

Vivo X500 Series Attracts Attention with its Hardware Features

The new series offers users two different screen size options.

While the standard Vivo X500 Pro model comes with a compact 6.36-inch screen, the higher-performance X500 Pro Max model promises a larger 6.85-inch screen experience.

At the heart of both devices is the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset, offering high processing power and efficiency. This hardware is optimized to handle multitasking and graphics-intensive applications smoothly.

Camera Technologies Pushing Boundaries

The strongest aspect of the Vivo X500 series is undoubtedly its camera capabilities, achieved through strategic partnerships with Zeiss and Sony.

The 200-megapixel 1/1.4-inch sensor in the X500 Pro Max model delivers professional results, especially in portrait photography, with its equivalent focal length of 85mm.

The X500 Pro model features a 64-megapixel Sony sensor. Both models include CIPA 7.0 certified scene stabilization technology, allowing for shake-free images even while in motion.

Software Support Enhances Photography Experience

In addition to hardware, significant improvements have been made to the software.

The “Cinematic Portrait” mode, which performs exceptionally well in low-light conditions, enables the creation of impressive 4K resolution content even in challenging lighting situations such as sunsets or twilight.

Furthermore, the devices, equipped with Zeiss Gen 2 teleconverter support, offer optical zoom options that professional photographers may need.

The Zeiss Gen 2 Ultra support in the X500 Pro Max model can reach up to a 400mm equivalent focal length.

The series, launched with white, gray, black, and orange color options, is currently available to Chinese users. Whether the launch for the European market will meet the expectations of global consumers will become clear in the coming weeks.
