The Design of the Foldable iPhone Clarified with Case Leaks

The Design of the Foldable iPhone Clarified with Case Leaks

The first cases for Apple’s highly anticipated foldable iPhone model have been listed. Here are the design and expected technical features of the device.

Accessory manufacturer iFunSmart has started to list the first protective cases it has prepared for the foldable iPhone model that Apple is working on. This breakthrough largely confirms the previously revealed leaks regarding the design of the device.

Case manufacturers often prepare their molds based on leaked CAD documents or mock-up units months before a new iPhone announcement. Although these designs are speculative, they are usually produced with millimetric accuracy in order to avoid missing items on launch day.

Design Details and Specifications of the Foldable iPhone

Listings spotted by French technology site iPhoneSoft show that the device has a simple camera platform with two lenses on the back. The case design reveals that the device has a slim profile and features a circular magnet slot for MagSafe accessories.

iFunSmart states that the cases offer military-grade drop protection and come with 1.5mm raised camera bezels. Due to the foldable structure of the device, the case appears to have a structure consisting of other modules instead of a single module.

While there is a dedicated space for a Camera Control button in the listings, there is no sign of an Action button. It should also be noted that the N52 magnets in the case do not definitively prove whether there is a MagSafe reinforcement on the device itself.

Expected Technical Features of the Foldable iPhone

Apple is expected to introduce this new foldable model along with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in the fall of 2026. It is claimed that the device will come with a 5.5-inch external screen and 7.8-inch internal screen, and will also carry the A20 Pro chip and 12GB of memory.

Leaks indicate that the device will be 9.5mm thick when closed and 4.5mm thick when open. It is said that the phone, which is expected to use Touch ID technology integrated into the side button instead of Face ID, will be released with a starting price of approximately $ 2,000.

How do you think Apple will gain a foothold in the market with this new form factor?
