Samsung has approved the Galaxy A27 model, the new favorite of the middle segment. All the details of the device, which comes with a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, 5,500 mAh battery and 50 MP OIS camera, are in our news.
Samsung continues to expand the Galaxy A family, the best-selling smartphone series worldwide. Data accidentally shared on the company’s official websites confirms that the release of the Galaxy A27 model, the new player in the affordable middle segment, is very close. The new device, which is expected to continue the success of the Galaxy A26 model, strengthens its hand against its competitors with updates made on the hardware side.
Screen and Design: A Smooth Experience Is Coming
Samsung seems determined to carry its leadership in display technology to the middle segment. Galaxy A27 comes with a 6.74 inch Super AMOLED panel. Offering a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, this screen promises a very smooth experience in both social media browsing and games with its 120 Hz refresh rate.
The panel, which has a pixel density of approximately 382 PPI, stands out as one of the most assertive screens in its segment with its vibrant colors and deep blacks.
On the design side, the waterdrop notch structure that Samsung calls “Infinity-U” is preserved. On the back of the device, a minimalist camera arrangement welcomes us.
The phone, which is resistant to water and dust with its IP68 certification, provides protection at a depth of 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. This feature brings a durability standard that we are usually used to seeing in upper segment devices to the middle segment.
Performance and Hardware: Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Power
At the heart of the Galaxy A27 is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor signed by Qualcomm. This chipset, produced with a 4 nm fabrication process, draws attention with its balance of energy efficiency and performance.
In addition to 6 GB physical RAM capacity, the device offers 6 GB virtual RAM support. The phone comes with 128 GB internal storage, and it is possible to use a microSD card up to 1 TB thanks to the hybrid card slot.
On the battery side, Samsung is taking a big step. The device is equipped with a huge battery with a capacity of 5,500 mAh. This capacity means a battery life that can easily last two days in daily use.
On the charging speed side, 25W fast charging support continues. The phone, which is expected to come out of the box with the Android 16-based One UI 8 interface, is an important option for users who want to invest in the future with Samsung’s long-term update promise.
What Will the Camera Features Be?
On the photography side, the Galaxy A27 has a 50 Megapixel resolution sensor on its main camera. This main camera, which has an f/1.8 aperture, allows taking shake-free videos and clear photos in low light with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support.
The main camera is accompanied by an 8 Megapixel ultra wide-angle lens and a 2 Megapixel macro camera.
The 13 Megapixel selfie camera on the front is supported by software improvements, especially in portrait shots. Some leaks indicate that Samsung has increased night selfie performance by using a larger sensor in this model.
On the video side, the ability to shoot 30 frames per second at 4K resolution offers sufficient performance for content producers.
Competition in the Mid-Segment: Where Are Redmi and POCO Situating?
The launch of the Galaxy A27 reigns the competition in the mid-range segment. In particular, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 15 series stands out against Samsung with features such as a 108 Megapixel main camera and over 100W fast charging.
On the other hand, the POCO X8 Pro model attracts users looking for pure performance and battery life with its Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor and 6,500 mAh battery.
Samsung, on the other hand, is trying to differentiate itself in this competition with its software stability, IP68 waterproof certification and ecosystem advantages. Although competitors offer higher charging speeds or megapixel values on paper, the balanced user experience and global service support offered by the Galaxy A27 continue to be the brand’s biggest trump card.
Release Date and Price Expectation
Samsung Galaxy A27, which is expected to be officially introduced in July 2026, will initially be available in the Brazilian and Indian markets. It is then expected to enter global markets, including Türkiye. On the pricing side, the device is expected to be positioned in the 300 dollar band, and in the Turkish market, it is expected to take its place on the shelves at a competitive price, including taxes.
