Safari Support Comes to Google Meet

Safari Support Comes to Google Meet

Google Meet has launched Safari support for iPhone users. You can now attend meetings without downloading an application or logging in to an account.

Google has released an important update for the popular video conferencing platform Google Meet. iPhone users are now free from having to download a special application to attend meetings.

The company announced that it has started offering full support for the Safari browser on iOS devices. This attack allows users to open meeting relationships directly from the browser.

Application Download Requirement is Removed

Previously, users who wanted to join a Google Meet call on iPhone had to install applications such as Google Meet or Gmail on their devices. This situation could lead to loss of time, especially in urgent meetings.

With the new update, this restriction is completely eliminated. Users can join the conversation directly via Safari when they click on the meeting contacts sent to them.

Google MeetThis feature, which makes the experience more accessible, also eliminates the need for users to log in to any Google account. Those who want to join the meeting can enter the meeting within seconds by simply entering their names.

Precious Convenience in User Experience

Google states that this change aims to speed up the daily workflows of iPhone users. There is no need to make any special settings on the device or any additional preparation process to use the system.

The update has started to be gradually rolled out to all users as of today. Considering the large user base in the Apple ecosystem, it is anticipated that this step will significantly facilitate the processes of participating in meetings.

This practical solution, which comes with Google Meet’s Safari support, provides a great advantage especially for users who do not want to install an application or need to enter the meeting quickly.

Direct access via the browser increases the flexibility of the platform and allows users to communicate without encountering technological obstacles.

This move by Google was officially announced on the Workspace blog and was made available to all iOS users without requiring any additional software.

Do you think this browser-focused move by Google will change your video conferencing habits?
